While other young celebrities are busy with their respective acting and singing careers, Kapamilya actor Nash Aguas, together with “Goin’ Bulilit” alumna Carl Barrameda, is busy expanding his Japanese-themed restaurant called MuRamen.
The 19-year-old actor will be opening another branch of MuRamen in Villa Susana street, Villa Susana CPD Caniogan in Pasig City this coming May 4.
The first branch was established in KB Lepanto Building., Loyola Street, Corner G. Tolentino in Sampaloc, Malina to cater the students studying along the University Belt.
In an interview with “Umagang Kay Ganda” last year, Aguas and Barrameda revealed the reason behind their decision to venture into the food business. This what they said, respectively:
“Kasi sobra kami ni Carl mahilig sa Japanese food, especially ramen. So kami ni Carl at ‘yung friends namin… Kami ‘yung nagbuo ng Muramen.”
“Actually, ngayon lang kami naging close ni Nash noong nagsama kami sa ‘LUV U.’ Ang daming idea na dapat hindi lang business ang gagawin namin, pati movie, dito kami nauwi sa ramen.”
Moreover, Aguas told the Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub that they really enjoyed Japanise cuisine.
“Kaya namin naisip na ito iyong i-business kasi ako since bata ramen fan talaga ako, so Japanese food fan, gyoza, beef gyudon, tonkatsu, karaage so hindi kami papayag na siyempre hindi masarap product namin kasi kaming dalawa Japanese food lovers kami.”
In fact, the soft opening of the MuRamenin Sampaloc. Manila turned out to be successful despite the unpleasant weather. Aguas shared the good news on his Instagram account.
“SOLD OUT! Pasensya na po dun sa mga hindi na umabot, babawi po kami sa inyo sa mga susunod na araw,”
